My father who was stationed at Chanute Air Force base in Rantoul, Illinois in the early 50's - 1950 ! and is looking for an old friend he has been trying to find for years. My dad only remembers his nickname as "Red". He was a tall drink of water my dad always said (about 6 foot 4 or so) and he helped dad in a time of great need then and he has never been able to find him or reunite.
