Our mission is to educate, entertain and excite with experiences in Air and Space -- The Museum occupies nine buildings on twenty-seven acres of land on the western perimeter of the Schenectady County Airport, an ideal environment in which to present the history of aviation, especially that which occurred in New York.
Outside, the Museum has a collection of aircraft including: F-14A Tomcat, A-6E Intruder, A-4F Skyhawk II, F-4D Phantom II, F-101F "Voodoo," F-105G "Wild Weasel,” Huey helicopter, Russian MiG-17F and MiG-21, A-10 "Warthog," A-7E Corsair II and F-84F Thunderstreak.
The main galleries contain some of the more fragile aircraft, detailed models, dioramas, historical artifacts and memorabilia, and photographic displays.
At the Empire State Aerosciences Museum you not only get historic facts and pictures, but also a hands on experience.

Flight Simulator 2000 in a Cessna mock-up cockpit! Come fly and feel like you're flying the real thing. The default flight is a landing right here at Schenectady County Airport, but you can also try numerous other flights in other aircraft.

Lockheed Electra
When Amelia Earhart attempted to fly around the world
in 1937 she used a Lockheed Electra arranged exactly like the fuselage
on display in the museum. This fuselage was created to make the movie
"Final Flight" about Earhart´s flight.

Using a design from Popular Mechanic magazine, 18 year old
John Von Pomer built this Curtiss-type Pusher airplane in 1910.
With this plane, Von Pomer introduced flight to the Fort Edward, NY.
This anti-aircraft gun on a tank chassis was used
during the Vietnam War to protect US troops in the jungle.
The Museum is located on the Schenectady County Airport,
one of the earliest consolidated airports in the country, where Lindbergh landed in 1927.
