Thunderbolt II
The A/OA-10 Thunderbolt II is the first Air Force aircraft
specially designed for close air support of ground forces. They are
simple, effective and survivable twin-engine jet aircraft that can be
used against all ground targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles.

77th Bomb Squadron, 2,000 pound Joint Direct Attack Munition
Senior Airman Phillip Knight from Sunnyvale, Calif., a weapons loader
with the 77th Bomb Squadron, here prepares an inert 2,000 pound Joint
Direct Attack Munition. JDAMs use the global positioning system for precision
guidance. Iraq and other potential adversaries may have the ability to
jam GPS signals, but Air Force war planners are not too worried about
the effect of jamming on precision munitions.
