Avibras Aeroespacial designs, develops and manufactures Defense Products and Services for its customers worldwide including the ASTROS II System – a well known Artillery Saturation Rocket System; and the SKYFIRE-70, a new generation of high performance 70mm (2.75in) rocket.
The SKYFIRE-70 Rocket System is composed by a new family of 70mm (2.75in) rocket motors models M-8, M-9, M-10, that are equipped with composite propellant and powerful warheads. The spin stabilization and the higher kinetic energy provide superior accuracy when compared to the existing 70mm systems. Thus, resulting in greater effectiveness either in air-to-ground or ground-to-ground deployment with range up to 12,000m.
The following types of warheads can be fitted to the rocket motors:
- AVC-70 MW-Multiple Warhead, with anti-personnel and anti-armour effect
- AVC-70 HE – High Explosive, with anti-personnel and anti-material effect
- AVC-70 AC/AP – Double Effect, with anti-tank and anti-personnel effect
- AVC-70 F – Flechette, with an intense anti-personnel effect
- AVC-70 E – Exercise, inert
- AVC-70 EF – Practice Smoke
- AVC-70 FB – White Phosphorous

AVIBRAS SKYFIRE-70 ROCKET LAUNCHERS
For air-to-ground employment the rockets can be launched from an airborned AVIBRAS 7-Tube Multiple Launcher AV-LM-70/7-SF or a 19-Tube Launcher AV-LM-70/19-SF. These launchers can be utilized on virtually any aircraft, from high performance jets to propeller aircraft and helicopters.
For ground-to-ground application, the rockets can be
launched from AVIBRAS 36-Tube Multiple Launcher AV-LM-12/36, Self-Propelled
or Towed.
